CLASS DESCRIPTION: Youth Camps are for ages 9-15 and are 5 days long. Learn to create your own computer programs using the powerful Python programming language. This camp covers the basics of writing code and thinking like a programmer, and you will do several fun projects using lights, sound and motion sensing on your own Microbit pocket-sized computer. If you’ve wondered about what goes on inside your computer or wanted to dive into “real” programming, this is for you! You will be working with the latest version of Python 3 and writing your code in the IDLE programming environment. ATTENTION FOR THE TIME BEING PLEASE ONLY REGISTER ONE TIME. NOTE: This camp will be the same as last year’s camp with added projects using Microbits. If your camper has already taken this camp, they may want to take to take our advanced camp!

COVID NOTICE: Class size limited to 8 in-lab participants. Participants will practice safe distancing and will be needing to wear face masks. Fablab will also provide comfortable face shields to participants. In Lab, classes may be canceled if state guidelines regarding group gatherings are restricted.
