CAMP DESCRIPTION:
This Youth Camp is for ages 11-15
Dates 8/22-8/26 Times: 9:00am-12:00pm Cost $260 plus $75 lab fee.
Coding, building circuits, prototyping ideas, and learning electronics are all included in our Raspberry Pi Bake-Off Camp. This camp is designed for beginners; campers will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of coding through creating interactive projects. Python will be languages campers will utilize to write commands for the GPIO (hardware control platform). Campers will leave with Raspberry Pi, Power source, Micro SD card, Bread board, LED’s, and an interactive electronic project built on the Pi.
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE: Class is supported in part by Tacoma Creates with need-based scholarships available for residents of the City of Tacoma! Please contact us for assistance.
COVID NOTICE: Due to the shortage of Raspberry pi’s class size limited to 5 participants. Participants will practice safe distancing and will be encouraged to wear masks but not be required to do so. In Lab, classes may be canceled if state guidelines regarding group gatherings are restricted.
